Old Cartoons Music

These two are all old cartoon music that I loved when I was a kid (teenager). The first one is Ironman



The second one might not be familiar to most as its a theme in the Japanese Anime Southern Cross. The theme of the Red Bioroid! Bloody hard to find this. Took me years to get such a lousy copy..

Hana Yori Dongo - Meteor Garden

I rarely recommend TV dramas as I'm not really into watching them (I prefer movies :) ). The main reasons is that TV series takes a lot of my time to watch them and my attention span is not that long. Most of the TV series I enjoy are normally not long winded or over then 20 episodes. (Start to get bored and draggy once it hit more than 10). There are of course exceptions like the old HK Martial Arts (Wu Xia) that I used to enjoy.

So recently, thanks to my sis who studies Japanese and watches their TV dramas. I got hooked onto this short and sweet romantic comedy drama based on a very famous manga. Hana Yori Dongo.
The story is quite typical and predictable but I have to say the production quality is pretty high. The cast chose is also very good. Most impressive of all is the acting and the soundtrack for the series (very very nice soundtracks).

It has 2 season. The first season has only 9 episodes (yeah!!) while the 2nd Season has 11. Total of 20 plus a Final movie that came out a storm in Japan this year in June. (hope Singapore will show it too)

Not going to spoil the series by giving away too much of it but here's a MV for the 2nd season done by some fans. The music is Flavor of Life by Hikaru Utada (heard only on season 2)



PS. There's a Taiwanese version and anime with the same title. Just watch the Japanese Live action will do....

Nodame Cantabile

Apologies for the lack of postings. Been busy with some personal stuff recently.
My sister recently discovered this Japanese TV series (live action) based on a Manga and Anime. Its really quite good. Its basically about the stories of a bunch of young students in a Music University. If you can find it at your local DVD shop, do get either the live action or anime version of the series. I think its a great show that also introduces some great classical music. The show is already a great hit in the fan-sub world. Can read more about the series here at wiki.

Korp Kai Ya Sip MTV Trailer

This TV series show was pretty popular in Thailand and its about a boy being born with a physical defect. He was given a special armour which he wore would grant him supernatural powers. The story is quite interesting and so are the CGI special effects. This clip is the MTV of the title song for the show. Title of the song is same as the show Korp Kai Ya Sip which translated means Armour (of) God (Good). I really like the way the song blends traditional Thai instruments with heavy rock.

Battlestar Galactica (Re-imagined)

I don't really enjoy watching TV series as I find most of them draggy. I like films or movies which is I could just spend 2 to 3 hrs to watch and digest. Another main reason for not watching TV is the commercials (damn I hate them!!!) So it was a blessing when I got my new Creative Vision W. Most of the movies are in DVD and I need more stuff to watch. So I managed to get Battlestar Galactica Season 1 and was blown away! Great story and acting. Highly recommend it. I just finished Season 3 and am now waiting for the last season which will air in America late this year. Hope its as good as the 2nd season.
